Different movements make this a more complicated comparison than counting speed levels. Ask whether each mode can run independently, how intensity is adjusted, and how to return to the lowest setting. During a demonstration, concentrate on whether you can read and stop the machine easily, rather than starting with the strongest combined mode.
The practical ownership trade-off
Extra modes bring little value if they make the machine intimidating or if the unit stays in storage. Consider the available standing surface, cleaning around textured areas and whether everyone using it understands the controls. Promotional claims about magnetic features, detoxing or fat loss are not a substitute for evidence about the outcome you care about.
