Research-based editorial assessments
The guides published in this rebuild use current manufacturer pages, matching retailer listings where available, the original site’s archive and identified research sources. We have not performed laboratory or hands-on testing of the machines. We do not imply otherwise through scores, awards or photography.
A source for each kind of claim
- Specifications: a manufacturer’s current page or manual is preferred. Conflicting figures are flagged.
- Historical models: archived site material is labelled as historical and does not establish present availability.
- Health outcomes: use research reviews and recognised health information, with limitations made clear.
- Our judgement: practical implications such as storage difficulty are explained as editorial reasoning, not measurements.
What we compare
We prioritise exact-model identification, usable format, dimensions, machine mass, understandable controls, documented motion, seller support, warranty scope and return costs. We avoid comparing numbered speed levels as though they are equivalent across brands.
No invented ratings or endorsements
We do not republish the old site’s numerical scores as new test results. We do not copy retailer customer reviews or ratings into our own verdicts. We do not call a product “best” simply because it has the largest power claim or earns a commission.
Images and illustration
The main editorial image is an original AI-assisted illustration of a generic platform. Other platform-type diagrams are illustrations. A restored Crazy Fit product image is labelled as an archive image. Illustrations do not show a hands-on test or guarantee that a current product looks the same.
Dates and corrections
A page’s updated date reflects an editorial change, not a promise that every seller’s price was checked that day. We do not display live Amazon prices or stock claims. If you find a material error, send the page and supporting source; a correction should identify the changed fact and its evidence.
